I liked the look and the size of the towel warmer and how easy it was to assemble and mount on the wall. I left a dry towel on the warmer for 20 minutes and I was a little disappointed by the lack of heat in the towel for the price. I am not sure if there is a limit to how much heat you can add before you hit a “danger zone” but the towel never made it to that point.not even close. Without having another one to compare I gave this one 3 stars…-2 for lack of higher heat to suit me.

Overheats, burns towels, March 8, 2011

Like the other reviewer, about three months after installation, we found that our white towels had brown burn marks from where they made contact with the rail. The on/off switch stopped working about six months after installation and the unit now gets too hot for it to be safely used. It has become an expensive towel rack. When contacted, manufacturer acknowledged the two year warranty but suggested we get a rheostat to control the heat level upon reinstallation of the replacement unit, which suggested that they weren’t confident that it was an isolated incident. I don’t know about you, but if a product works as it is supposed to, why would you suggest the purchase of what amounts to a “safety switch?” In fairness, it looks good on the wall.
